You’ve probably noticed, if you’ve been following me for some time, that I have been doing a summer photo challenge—to take one photo a day and post it online. And I have to say, I did a pretty good job at sticking with it. My final thoughts on the project?
- It was really, really tough. At first I thought “Hey, how could this get old? I have so many things I want to share!” Riiiight. Some days I had too many pictures to choose from. Others, I dreaded having to find something to photograph at all. This past month of August, I felt drained of all inspiration nearly every day. But in the end, it was a really good thing to do, because…
- It kept me busy. And that was a good thing this summer, because a lot of it could have been really dull. Also, it kept me taking pictures—something extra important since I’ll be majoring in photography! I discovered a lot of new techniques and got some amazing shots for my portfolio too.
- The biggest surprise? Looking back through my blog, it’s full of memories of my summer. Even things that seem to be random shots of a book/shoes/a lamp, really aren’t. I never expected every shot to be so significant. That’s very special to me, because who knows? This could be my last (real) summer.
Thank you for following my summer photo challenge! I enjoyed it, and I hope everyone else did too.
